Hurricanes End Barrón's Streak Thursday, August 3rd , 2051 Juan Barrón, second baseman for the Nova Scotia Leviathan, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 4 tries against the Cape Coral Hurricanes today. Not only did the Hurricanes break his 22-game hitting streak, they also beat Nova Scotia by the score of 6-0. "Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Barrón said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." In this current campaign Barrón is hitting at a .272 clip with no home runs and 15 RBIs. |
