Han Shuts Out Northern Virginia, 7-0
Friday, June 16th , 2051
The Cape Coral Hurricanes shut out the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids 7-0 today behind the strong pitching of Janghyun Han. Han surrendered only 4 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 8.
Following the last out, Han appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for Northern Virginia manager David Lister, who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken right-hander as the clubs left the field. Han's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart.
The Rainbow Mermaids skipper would not comment on the exchange, but at the Hurricanes press conference, Han confirmed that it was regarding the celebration.
"He basically told me I was being a lousy winner," Han said.
"And I told him he was being a lousy loser," Cape Coral manager Greg Diersing added.
Up to now Han has compiled an ERA of 1.03 with a 5-1 mark over 7 starts. He has 77 strikeouts in 61 innings and has held opponents to a .166 batting average.
