Drake Grabs PA Reliever of the Year Award Wednesday, September 20th , 2051 Cullen Drake was a calming influence out of the South Beach Blaze bullpen this season. His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 23-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the USPL Single A Reliever of the Year Award for 2051. The Abington Township, Pennsylvania native won the award with 7 saves in 36 relief appearances, 62 strikeouts in 72 innings and a record of 6-5 to go with his 1.88 ERA. He received 6 first place votes out of a possible 10. Ron Canseco of the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Martin Lumley of the Monroeville Yinzers finished third.
