South Beach First Baseman PA's Best Batter in August Friday, September 1st , 2051 For a rookie just breaking in, Jean Kools certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the PA Batter of the Month award for August. The 22-year-old first baseman for the South Beach Blaze hit .364 with 7 home runs, 16 RBIs and 20 runs scored. Kools has collected 80 hits for the Blaze this year, 13 of them home runs. He has also netted 42 RBIs and scored 50 runs while batting .242. |
