It was a glorious year for Bob O'Slattery of the Columbia River Rats.

He finished the season with 13 victories and only 1 loss, with an impressive 1.32 ERA. The talented River Rats pitcher started 18 games and struck out 109 batters in 122.1 innings and won the USSL Single A Outstanding Pitcher Award.

"It means a lot," O'Slattery said. "I hadn't really had a chance to sit down and think about it yet. It feels good right now. I can't really put it into words, but I'm sure later on tonight when I have a chance to sit down with my family and think about it, I'll have some words for it. But right now, I'm just happy that it happened this year."

He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 10. Victor Jones of the Matlacha Manatees finished second in voting, while Henry Tucker of the Columbia River Rats finished third with 1 first place vote.
