Mangos Come up Short of Playoffs Friday, September 1st , 2051 A late-season playoff push is not in the cards for the Kingston Mangos. The club today was mathematically knocked out of playoff contention. "There are a lot of long faces around right now," said Mangos manager Scott Riggs. "You know in your head that every year, most teams in baseball have to go through this, but it still hurts when you realize you've lost your shot at a title." This is the 1st time in a row that the Mangos have missed the playoffs.Their last payoff appearance was in 2050. |
