Merza Wins SA's Best Bat Award Friday, September 1st , 2051 When Armando Merza stepped up to the plate in August he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the USSL Single A Batter of the Month award. The young Delmarva left fielder posted a .342 batting average with 5 home runs, 19 RBIs and scored 15 runs. Merza also worked pitchers for 13 walks to post a .449 on-base percentage. For the year Merza is batting .251 with 15 home runs, 56 RBIs and 48 runs scored. |
