Mangos Cruz Blanks Gallos Tuesday, July 18th , 2051 In a seemingly effortless performance, Iván Cruz of the Kingston Mangos shot down the Delmarva Gallos 8-0 on a 1-hit shutout. "Iván was just locating so well and using his pitches," Kingston manager Scott Riggs said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Cruz recorded 5 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Delmarva manager Phil Baker said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
