Sunday, September 24th , 2051
He may have less experience than most of his M3L Single A peers, but that didn't slow Scott Willis down at all in 2051.
At the age of 23, the Caldwell center fielder has been named the winner of the M3L Single A Outstanding Hitter Award.
He had a .275 batting average and a .402 on-base percentage this year. In 86 games he piled up 84 hits, 25 doubles, 3 triples, 12 home runs, 53 RBIs and 64 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 6 first place votes out of a possible 12. Miguel Vargas of the Mancelona Torch finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Ricardo Alejo of the Caldwell Chiefs finished third with 1 first place vote.
