Walla Walla Walleye Win Top Spot in Menard's A Saturday, August 26th , 2051 The city of Walla Walla is buzzing tonight as their hometown club has captured a division title. The Walla Walla Walleye officially laid claim to the Menard's A crown today and will now turn attention to preparing for a run at the franchise's 4th 3L A Championship. "We may have been far ahead in the standings, but you never take anything for granted until it's official," said reliever Javier González. "I've seen too many strange things happen in baseball to ever assume the playoffs is a guarantee." But it now is in fact a guarantee for the club, which currently has a 64-23 record and has easily stood out as the class of the division this season. |
