3A Player of the Week Goes to Cruz of Put-In-Bay Monday, August 21st , 2051 Put-In-Bay Commodores right fielder Alejandro Cruz walked away with the M3L Single A Player of the Week Award today after putting up some impressive numbers over the past seven days. "The Commodores fans are really behind me right now," said the 23-year-old. "That helps. They give you the confidence to go out there and do better." Cruz batted .368 (7-for-19) with 2 home runs and 6 RBIs this week on his way to the award. Cruz is currently batting .268 with 13 home runs and 50 RBIs. |
