No-Hitter for Putilov Saturday, July 29th , 2051 Is it better to be lucky or good? After leading the Caldwell Chiefs to victory, 1-0, and tossing a no-hitter over the Alaskan Bush Pilots, Kolya Putilov didn't have the answer. "I don't know," Putilov said. "To do what I did today, I'm pretty sure it takes both." On his big day at Pipers Ballpark, Putilov fanned 15 and had 1 walk. And it seemed that when the Bush Pilots managed to hit the ball hard, it went right at a defender. "That's how you get a no-hitter," Putilov said with a smile.
