PL Hands Out Reliever of the Year Award Friday, November 3rd , 2051 They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but in the case of Jorge Gil of the Boston Patriots, you don't have to - his old tricks worked just fine in 2051. The 35-year-old veteran turned in a sparkling performance and has won the United States Premier League Reliever of the Year Award. He captured the award with 14 saves in 55 relief appearances, 123 strikeouts and 17 walks in 86.2 innings. He put up a record of 3-6 to go with his 1.87 ERA. Ronnie Gómez of the New Orleans Voodoo finished second in voting, while Magnus Belli of the Buffalo White Walkers finished third. |
