Lakers Lose Late, 4-2
|
Behind an impressive start by Todd Johnson, Seattle beat Echo Park, 4-2. The 9th-place Lakers have dropped 5 straight games.
Mike Phillips provided a timely hit. The Seattle pinch hitter delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rocketeers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
After the game, Seattle manager James Walker applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
