The New Orleans Voodoo got a strong performance from pitcher Boris Milatovic, who stymied the Pittsburgh offense en route to a win, 5-2, at Pittsburgh Grounds. Milatovic got the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 3 hits and walked 0 over 6.1 innings. Milatovic allowed 2 runs. For the Kingfishers, the loss makes their record 7-13.

New Orleans used a well-timed hit by Anthony Roosemont to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Voodoo ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Boris -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Voodoo manager Chase Sims. "He was the key to us winning."
