Pandas Beat White Walkers 6-1 to Start R1
|
The Montana Pandas powered past the hometown Buffalo White Walkers, 6-1, in the opener of the ToC First Round at Beyond the Wall today. Montana starting pitcher Fernando Ríos threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Pandas now lead the series 1-0.
Chan-ho Shinn, the two-time Gold Glove winner , had a direct impact on the outcome. Shinn contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put Montana up, 3-0.
Shinn said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Beyond the Wall in Buffalo.
