3L AAA Championship Game 1 Victory for Thian and Port Huron
|
The Port Huron Blitzkrieg powered past the visiting Plymouth Rocks, 4-2, in the opener of the 3L AAA Championship at Port Huron Park today. Port Huron starting pitcher Yuan Thian threw 6.2 innings allowing 1 runs, to lead the charge. The Blitzkrieg now lead the series 1-0.
Naomichi Kodo, the Port Huron left fielder, contributed a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third inning to make the score 2-0, Blitzkrieg. For the game, Kodo went 1 for 3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Thian said.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Port Huron Park in Port Huron.
