The Nova Scotia Leviathan racked up a win at The Dungeon in Halifax, bumping off the Panama City Piranhas, 5-3. Joshua Dobson, who started for Nova Scotia, pitched effectively for his team. Dobson went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 2, and struck out 8. His record improves to 5-5. Ángel López earned the save for Nova Scotia, his 2nd of the year.

Jeff Fields's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant for the Leviathan. Coming to the plate with the bases loaded and Nova Scotia trailing 3-1, the Leviathan first baseman hit a 2-run double.

"I know we have our doubters," said Panama City manager Brian Talamante. "But I still have high hopes for this team."

Nova Scotia is 8th in the Silver League with a record of 31-44.
