Thunder Bay used the timely hitting of António Cruz to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Northern Lions BC on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Ft. Worth skipper Scott Thompson, "and it cost us."
