Lakers Fell Cattlemen, 3-0
|
The Echo Park Lakers got a magnificent effort from pitcher Hang-ki Cong, who kept Ft. Worth hitters in check en route to a 3-0 Lakers win at The Cattle Pen. Danny Kas finished to wrap up his 15th save. The Lakers, at 27-45, sit in 9th place in the Silver League.
Charlie Cummings, who signed a 2-year contract worth $9,040,000 on 02/23/2051, contributed to the Echo Park win with a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Echo Park manager Jordan Calhoun said.
