Bullets Squelch Rainbow Mermaids Offense in Shutout Win
Getting offensive support from Alonso Acosta, the MSL Baltimore Bullets topped the MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 3-0. Acosta was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Bullets. Álex Encarnación earned the save for MSL Baltimore, his 1st of the year. Their 19-22 record puts the Bullets 8th in the SL MSL.

MSL Baltimore used a well-timed hit by Sasha Musienko to capture the win. The second baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Bullets ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We didn't score," said losing manager Jaime Torres. "That was the problem."
