Piranhas Dealt 2-0 Loss by MSL Northern Virginia
|
Starting pitcher Lucas Lancaster did his part in helping the MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids thwart the MSL Panama City Piranhas, 2-0. Lancaster went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 8. His record improves to 2-2. The Rainbow Mermaids bumped their record to 20-16 with this win.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Ju-long Cuan didn't flinch. With a runner on 1st and MSL Panama City trailing 1-0, Cuan retired Henry Jones to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Cuan, with a wink.
