The MSL Nova Scotia Leviathan went down to defeat to Larry Oliver and his MSL Oakland teammates. The final score was 4-2 in favor of the Oaks. Oliver got the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 6 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. Oliver allowed 1 run. Jerry Russell collected his 8th save.
Coen Abma dealt the Leviathan a blow in the top of the third. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and MSL Oakland leading 1-0, Abma, who is tied for 4th in the SMSL in triples with 1, hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single.
"I like what I saw today," said MSL Oakland manager Milton Mathews, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
