Cattlemen Stick Hurricanes with 4-2 Loss
|
The MSL Ft. Worth Cattlemen knocked off the MSL Cape Coral Hurricanes, 4-2, at MSL Cape Coral Ballpark. Alfredo Sánchez was a big reason MSL Ft. Worth won. The catcher went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. MSL Ft. Worth is in 7th place in the SL MSL with a record of 11-14.
Sánchez contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for MSL Ft. Worth in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Sánchez took a fastball from José de Jesús Ramos and stroked the home run to left. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Cattlemen to leap in front, 3-1.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said MSL Ft. Worth skipper Alwin Vreekamp.
