McFarland Leads Ft. Worth to 3-1 Win
In a low-scoring game between Ft. Worth and Las Vegas, pitcher Jeff McFarland was excellent. The Ft. Worth right-hander helped his team knock off the Flamingos, 3-1. Pat Martin nailed down his 23rd save. With the win over Las Vegas, the Cattlemen improved to 35-31.

McFarland earned the win, going 7.2 strong innings for Ft. Worth. The native of Palmdale, California, allowed just no hits, while striking out 7. Las Vegas hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.

"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," McFarland said.
