The first-place Oakland Oaks picked up another win.

The Oakland Oaks topped the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 3-1, in United States Silver League action at The Oak Grove. The standout performance belonged to Oakland pitcher and Burton, Michigan, native Tom Pegum. In 7.1 innings, Pegum surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run.

Oakland took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With two out, third baseman Zhong-yan Zhang hit a 2-run home run that fired up the crowd.

"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Pegum.

The Silver League-leading Oaks have a record of 43-19.
