Cattlemen Upend Flamingos, 6-3

The MSL Ft. Worth Cattlemen defeated the MSL Las Vegas Flamingos, 6-3, in USSL Mexican Summer League action at MSL Las Vegas Ballpark. MSL Ft. Worth pitcher José García had a standout performance. García picked up the win for MSL Ft. Worth, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. The 9th-place Flamingos have dropped 5 straight games.
MSL Ft. Worth used a well-timed hit by Pedro Rivera to capture the win. The shortstop socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Cattlemen ahead, 5-3. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Rivera told the MSL Ft. Worth Observer.
