Ft. Worth Gets 4-3 Road Win
|
The Ft. Worth Cattlemen and Cape Coral Hurricanes played an exciting game.
In a close game at Factory of Sadness, the Ft. Worth Cattlemen edged the Cape Coral Hurricanes, 4-3. Ft. Worth shortstop Pielgrzym Myslajek stood apart with his performance. He slugged 2 home runs. The winner was Stu Riley, who threw 96 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 11 hits. Pat Martin collected save number 20.
Tetsu Matsumoto contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the fifth. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he grounded out, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat that helped Ft. Worth get the win.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Cape Coral manager Greg Diersing.
Ft. Worth is in 6th place in the Silver League with a record of 30-30.
