Dominant Performance by Cotichini in MSL Echo Park Win
Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the MSL Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids home opener. Gilberto Espinoza started for the home team against Giustino Cotichini for the MSL Echo Park Lakers. The Rainbow Mermaids were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 4-0, MSL Echo Park. Giustino Cotichini, though, was impressive.

Cotichini made it look easy. He scattered 4 hits over 7.1 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts. The right-hander upped his season record to 1-0.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Cotichini told the MSL Echo Park Observer.
