Voodoo Roll to 8-2 Win Over Patriots
MSL New Orleans Ballpark was the site for USPL Mexican Summer League action featuring the MSL Boston Patriots and MSL New Orleans Voodoo.

Getting a good performance from third baseman Manuel Sabala, the MSL New Orleans Voodoo defeated the MSL Boston Patriots, 8-2. Sabala went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Voodoo. Ricardo Fernández, the winning pitcher, improved to 8-6. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 5 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 3. Carlos Allard finished to wrap up his 1st save.

The Voodoo got a big at-bat from left fielder Tom Windus. For the game, Windus was 1-2 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave MSL New Orleans a 2-0 lead.

Sabala attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."

With the win over MSL Boston, the Voodoo improved to 28-18.
