Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Patriots
|
Brian Palmer was a major factor in the 4-2 MSL Boston win over MSL Buffalo. The Patriots shortstop was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. MSL Boston reliever Jesús Zargosa picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Gonzalo Fierro shouldered the loss. The Patriots move to 35-10 with the win, while the White Walkers drop to 25-20.
Palmer had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a full count fastball from Gonzalo Fierro, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Patriots a 4-2 lead. It was the 20th home run of the year for Palmer.
"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Palmer told the MSL Boston Chronicle.
