Dirty Reds Stick Kingfishers with 6-4 Loss
|
Behind the hitting of Nick Cooper, the MSL San Mateo Dirty Reds clipped the MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 6-4. Cooper went 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Dirty Reds. MSL San Mateo is 9th in the PL MSL with a record of 16-28.
The Dirty Reds got an important contribution from center fielder Máximo Martínez, who in the bottom of the fifth punched a first pitch fastball into right-center for a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Dirty Reds ahead, 6-4.
"We'll build on this win," said Cooper.
