84s Snatch Late Win
|
The MSL Greenville 84s defeated the MSL San Mateo Dirty Reds, 6-3, in USPL Mexican Summer League action at MSL San Mateo Ballpark. MSL Greenville pitcher Kuniyuki Ota had a standout performance. Ricardo Moya nailed down his 2nd save. The 84s now have a record of 13-25.
MSL Greenville used the clutch hitting of Salvador Rodríguez to snag the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the 84s ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Rodríguez told the MSL Greenville Herald.
