MSL Athletic Club KC got a terrific game from left fielder Kichibei Matsumoto. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to MSL Boston, 7-6. Matsumoto was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times. The Patriots improved to a lofty 31-7.

MSL Boston needed the clutch hitting of Jing-quo Au-Yong to notch the win. The shortstop hammered a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Patriots on top, 7-6. For the game, Au-Yong had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said MSL Boston manager David Henderson.
