MSL Hollywood Topples MSL San Mateo, 4-2
|
Behind the hitting of Il-sang Park, the MSL Hollywood Shredders stopped the MSL San Mateo Dirty Reds, 4-2. Park was 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Shredders. Anthon Arents went 5 innings for MSL Hollywood to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs. He scattered 4 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 3. His record improves to 4-3. With the win over MSL San Mateo, the Shredders improved to 14-18.
Park contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for MSL Hollywood in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Park took a changeup from Vincente Álvarez and stroked the home run to left-center. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Shredders to leap in front, 3-2.
"It was just a matter of executing," said MSL Hollywood manager Andrés Pérez.
