Kingfishers Collect 3-2 Win Over Billy Goats
|
The MSL Colorado Billy Goats got a sterling performance from pitcher Freddy Rosas, but the MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers still prevailed, 3-2. Rosas threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball. Shigetoki Agano came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. At 12-17, MSL Pittsburgh is in 7th place in the PL MSL.
MSL Pittsburgh used the timely hitting of Faycal Lacroix to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Kingfishers on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said MSL Colorado skipper Mike Norman.
