5-0 Loss Extends MSL Pittsburgh Losing Streak
|
The 2051 season is getting uglier for MSL Pittsburgh.
MSL New Orleans picked up a win at MSL Pittsburgh Ballpark, bumping off the MSL Pittsburgh Kingfishers, 5-0. Pitcher Pung-cho Park was a major reason the Voodoo emerged victorious. In 6.2 innings, Park surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Mustafa bin Azhar was credited with the save for MSL New Orleans, his 1st of the season.
Fernando Mezzatesta took Gerrit Provoost deep in the top of the sixth. His 2-run home run put the Voodoo on top, 2-0. In all, Mezzatesta had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 4.
"I liked his command," said MSL New Orleans manager Wallace Elgie. "Pung-cho was throwing strikes."
The Voodoo now own a record of 13-11.
