Voodoo Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Patriots

MSL New Orleans starter Jesús Durán put a stranglehold on the MSL Boston offense. The right-hander had complete command of his splitter in leading the Voodoo to a 4-1 win. Brant Atkinson earned the save for MSL New Orleans, his 5th. With the win, MSL New Orleans pushed its record to 10-10.
MSL New Orleans relied on the hitting of Fernando Mezzatesta to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Voodoo on top, 2-0. For the game, Mezzatesta had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Durán said.
