MSL San Mateo Gets 5-1 Win
|
The MSL San Mateo Dirty Reds picked up a win at MSL Greenville Ballpark, taking down the MSL Greenville 84s, 5-1. Starting pitcher Manuel Delgado was a big reason why. The 'W' lifts MSL San Mateo's record to 5-6.
Had Ewold Bruggeman not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Bruggeman hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Dirty Reds.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Bruggeman told the MSL San Mateo Today.
