Thrilling Victory Pushes Patriots Win Streak to 11
|
The winning streak continued for MSL Boston.
Behind a solid performance from second baseman Jing-quo Au-Yong, the MSL Boston Patriots defeated the MSL Athletic Club KC U-18, 6-3. Au-Yong went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Patriots. Sergio Ledezma, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 4.1 innings.
The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Au-Yong delivered big-time for MSL Boston, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Kasper Berg. The game-changing hit put the Patriots on top, 5-3.
"We're playing like gangbusters right now," said Au-Yong.
The first-place Patriots have won 11 in a row.
