Tight Tilt Goes to White Walkers, 2-1
|
MSL Buffalo picked up a win at MSL Buffalo Ballpark, bumping off the MSL New Orleans Voodoo, 2-1. Pitcher José Carmona was a major reason the White Walkers emerged victorious. Carmona, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 4 walks. MSL Buffalo, now 4-0, is setting the league on fire so far.
The White Walkers got a big at-bat from third baseman Ramón Morán. For the game, Morán went 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave MSL Buffalo a 2-1 lead.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said MSL Buffalo manager Kevin Montgomery.
