Ogallala catcher Russ French had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. French belted 2 home runs, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 3, even as Tijuana beat the Octopi, 13-10. Tijuana reliever Carlos Muñóz got the win, raising his record to 4-3. Bill Anderson was tagged with the loss. Michael Humphreys recorded his 23rd save for Tijuana.

Tijuana used a clutch hit from Will Hanson to snatch the win. The pinch hitter belted a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Toros ahead, 13-10. It was his only hit, but it was huge.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Chet Delaney.

The Toros raised their record to 44-52.
