Rams Knock Off Toros, 2-1

Kullervo Koistinen was in top form in a low-scoring contest between Ladue and Tijuana. The Rams right-hander helped his team beat the Toros, 2-1. Koistinen got the win, improving to 6-2. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. Koistinen allowed 1 run. Picking up the save was Joseph McMahon, his 8th.
The Rams got a big at-bat from center fielder Enrico Morales, who in the bottom of the fifth hit a run-scoring double. It was his 21st double of the season and put the Rams on top, 2-1.
"Tough loss," said Tijuana manager Chet Delaney. "But we'll learn from it."
The Menard's Low A-leading Rams are 61-31.
