Some sloppy defense hurt the Octopi. In the bottom of the third, with Ellesmere Island trailing 3-2, Giulio Grasso was at the plate when Ellesmere Island scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Snowpeople to go in front, 4-3.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Grasso told the Ellesmere Island Today.
