Angel Kitties Bump Off Beavers, 5-3
|
Bethlehem starter Sylvester Whitaker pitched well against the Northwest Territory Beavers at Kittie Park. The left-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. With the victory, the Angel Kitties upped their record to 52-31.
Fernando Gaona had a big 2-run home run for the Angel Kitties in the bottom of the second inning. With Bethlehem trailing 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a splitter from Yifu Kelly and swatted a home run to left. It was his 6th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Angel Kitties ahead, 3-2.
"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Gaona told the Bethlehem Chronicle.
