The Long Island Ducks overcame a fine performance by Flint first baseman Guillermo Pacheco to defeat the Crush, 8-7, at Flint Park. Pacheco went 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Jussi-Pekka Hostikka, credited with the win, is now 2-6. He allowed no runs on 2 hits. Gerbrand Kodde closed the game out for Long Island, earning his 2nd save.

Long Island used a clutch hit from Gustavo Hernández to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Ducks ahead, 8-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a doozy.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Hernández told the Long Island Times.

With the win, the Ducks have a record of 29-42.
