Harbor Whales Lose, 3-1, at Ballpark of Albuquerque
|
Ballpark of Albuquerque was the site of a competitive game between the Greenport Harbor Whales and Germantown Uruguayans.
The Germantown Uruguayans picked up a win at Ballpark of Albuquerque, courtesy of Rafael Ortega. The right-hander helped his team stop the Greenport Harbor Whales, 3-1. Zakaria Cobar, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities.
The Uruguayans got a big at-bat from shortstop Gerardo Romero. For the game, Romero went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Germantown a 2-1 lead.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Ortega told the Germantown Daily.
Germantown's record now stands at 37-51, placing them 7th in the Silver Low A.
