Warheads Shut Out Music, 5-0
|
The Memphis Music got a superb performance from pitcher Gus Morris. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Amarillo. The Warheads won the game, 5-0. Morris threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball. With this game in the books, Amarillo is 36-46, Memphis 58-24.
Amarillo used the bat of Francisco Medina to capture the win. The center fielder jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Warheads ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Medina.
