Bompton Grabs 8-4 Road Win
|
Germantown second baseman Yoritomo Kodo had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 8-4, to Bompton at Ballpark of Albuquerque. Kodo went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The 5th-place Baby Lakers improved to 43-38.
Bompton used a well-timed hit by Kenny Hamilton to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Baby Lakers ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Hamilton told the Bompton Bulletin.
