Late Magic Gets Memphis 5-4 Win
|
Spirited fans greeted the Tulsa Otters for their clash with the Memphis Music.
The Memphis Music did just enough to sneak past the Tulsa Otters, 5-4, at Ballpark of Hughesville. Memphis pitcher Kris Collins, in particular, had a standout performance. Memphis reliever Jorge Cabral picked up the win, raising his record to 2-2. Carl Bell was tagged with the loss.
The most important at-bat for Memphis came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out, José Rodríguez reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run, putting Memphis up, 5-4.
"First place," said Music manager Tom Christensen. "This is right where we want to be."
The first-place Music improved to 58-23.
